$500 Chicagoland GAPNA Reseach Grant Applications are due April 1, 2019

Guidelines for Research Award

Award:    $500

Purpose:  To foster the goals of the Chicagoland Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses by encouraging, with a $500 research stipend, contributions to the advancement of nursing through research.

Criteria:

Project Guidelines:

1. This award may be used for research and/or quality improvement 

           applicable to clinical nursing practice:

• Conduct pilot studies.
• Research utilization projects
• Conducting ongoing research investigations
• Quality improvement projects

Funding Guidelines:

1. Duplication funding is not permitted
2. Funding is to be used for project related expenses.
3. Funding may not be used for investigators travel
4. Time guidelines must be given
5. Results of project are to be shared with the CGAPN group

Candidate Guidelines:

1. CGAPN member
2. GAPNA member
3. The recipient of the award must acknowledge CGAPN support in publications and presentations resulting from the award.
4. Consider presenting information as poster at national conference

Selection:

     By the Board of Directors

Submit:

1. Concise statement  (no more than 2 pages double-spaced)
2. Resume or curriculum vita.
3. Grant Proposal
4. Include name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address.

Notification:   Recipients will be notified by email prior to our annual meeting planned for Mid May 2019.
