Research/Quality Improvement Grant

 

Applications due May 1, 2023

Guidelines for Research/Quality Improvement Award for up to $500

Purpose:  To foster the goals of the Chicagoland Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (CGAPNA) by awarding up to $500 for a research/quality improvement project grant that contributions to the advancement or improvement of care for older adults.

Project Guidelines:  This annual award may be used for research and/or quality improvement applicable to clinical nursing practice related to older adults to:

  • Conduct pilot studies
  • Implement utilization projects
  • Conduct ongoing research investigations
  • Quality improvement projects

Funding Guidelines:

  1. Duplication funding is not permitted
  2. Funding is to be used for project related expenses
  3. Funding may not be used for investigators travel, except for data collection
  4. Results of project are to be shared with the CGAPNA group
  5. Consider submitting an abstract for the GAPNA Annual Meeting

Candidate Guidelines:

  1. CGAPNA and GAPNA member
  2. The recipient of the award must acknowledge CGAPNA support in publications and presentations resulting from the award

 

Selection:  By the CGAPNA Board of Directors

Submit:

  1. Concise statement (no more than 2 pages double-spaced)
  2. Resume or curriculum vita (Include name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address)
  3. Statement (no more than 3 pages, double-spaced, excluding data collection tools, references, timeline and budget) that includes:
    • problem statement or project goal with rationale
    • expected outcome(s) or aims
    • methodology
    • timeline
    • budget
  4. Submissions are due by May 1, 2023 and should be e-mailed to chicagoGAPNA@gmail.com

Notification:   Recipients will be notified by email prior to our (annual)Quarterly meeting planned for Mid May 2023.
